Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur Airport has received yet another accolade. This time the 2008 World Travel Awards has named the hotel as World’s Leading Airport Hotel. This latest recognition comes barely four months after Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur Airport was voted Asia’s Leading Airport Hotel by this influential awards program – two coveted World Travel Awards in the space of one year!
Hailed as "the Oscars of the Travel Industry", the World Travel Awards is without doubt the most prestigious and comprehensive awards program for the travel industry. Now in its fifteenth year, the World Travel Awards acknowledges and recognises excellence in the world’s travel and tourism industry. The awards are regarded as the very highest achievement that a travel product could ever hope to receive. In a voting campaign, votes are cast by 167,000 travel professionals in over 160 countries across the globe with winning categories covering all sectors of the global travel, tourism and hospitality industry.

Established in 1998, the Best Business Hotels in Asia Awards was produced by Business Asia magazine, a publication owned by a Sydney based media company namely First Charlton Communications. The award encompasses over 95 Hotels across 14 different Asia Pacific countries in 17 different categories and distinguishes the hotels that offer business travelers with excellence in terms of service and facilities. Winners were established by popular votes through a ballot paper published in Business Asia magazine and on line at the First Charlton website.
